We've been playing in all the local leagues in San Diego and we're just too good. We're getting good sponsors to help us in this effort, and I figured if we're going to be investing so heavily then we might as well go big time and join the UPSL. I've been reviewing the teams and the UPSL San Diego Division is getting good. It looks like a much tougher challenge for us, but we want it. We're looking for that."

Santos FC will play a UPSL preseason friendly against Fontana International at Ralph M. Lewis Sports Complex (7898 Elm Ave., Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730) at 7 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Aug. 13.
