UPSL Announces Northeast Expansion with North Jersey Alliance FC

Lyndhurst (N.J.)-Based Pro Development Club Joins UPSL for 2019 Fall Season

August 7, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce North Jersey Alliance FC as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Lyndhurst (N.J.), North Jersey Alliance FC will begin play in the UPSL Northeast Conference, and is finalizing its venue options in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League Northeast Conference Manager Paul Konneh said, "We are pleased to welcome New Jersey Alliance FC to the UPSL's Northeast Conference.  Alliance FC is a club that is willing to fight for its place, and has done well in its State Cup and in local league play. The club has a strong ownership group committed to investing in the future on its women's side, as well. Good luck to Alliance FC as it gets set to kick off this Fall Season."

North Jersey Alliance FC is a member of the New Jersey Soccer Association and reached the Round of 16 at the 2018 New Jersey Adult State Cup. The club currently participates in the Garden State Soccer League and operates two men's teams and one women's team.

Edgar Guardia is President of North Jersey Alliance FC. A native of New Jersey, Guardia is an AV Field Operations Manager for New York City-based Matrix Technology Group LLC.

Briana Morales is Vice President of North Jersey Alliance FC. A New Jersey native, Morales is Captain of the Alliance FC Women's Team, also a recent New Jersey State Cup participant.

The club will announce tryouts and its upcoming game schedule.

United Premier Soccer League

The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 300 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 400-plus teams targeted for 2019 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.

UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
