May 31, 2019 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is excited to announce Bell County FC as a new league member kicking off with the 2019 Fall Season.

Based in Belton (Texas), Bell County FC is a player and community-owned club and will begin play in the UPSL Championship Central Conference Heart Division. The club is reviewing its venue options in compliance with UPSL Minimum Standards.

United Premier Soccer League National Director Matt Kahla said, "We're pleased to welcome Bell County FC to the UPSL Central Conference. My admiration for Chris Glynn has grown over the years of knowing him and to see him and his direction for the club has been amazing. He has taken a lot of advice I have given him and ran with it! He quickly joined the Belton Chamber of Commerce and started making business associates. I see great things moving forward for Chris and Bell County FC!"

Chris Glynn, 27, is President and Club Director of Bell County FC. A native of Killeen (Texas), Glynn is a graduate of Ellison High School, and currently is studying to earn an MA in History from University of Southern New Hampshire.

Bell County FC President and Club Director Chris Glynn said, "The fact that we're player and community owned speaks volumes because the town wants to have a voice. Just as the UPSL is growing and providing an opportunity for clubs to use their voice, we want to do the same thing here with Bell County FC and experience the growth that comes from playing for or supporting our club. That's what the game is all about. Also, to be one of the first UPSL Championship Heart Division teams is meaningful. Our guys are excited about the possibilities of being the first to say 'We got promoted' from the Heart Division. We're big believers in the UPSL Promotion/Relegation Model, and it's exciting to be one of the first clubs to pioneer that in Texas."

Bell County FC is inspired and named after Peter Hansborough Bell, the third governor of Texas and the namesake of the City of Belton and Bell County.

The team will announce tryouts and its upcoming game schedule.
